One case for the abolishment of copyright

Basically, I am a supporter of some form of copyright. It is at the base of my company’s business - which produces videos and films. If anyone could just copy them freely, we’d be broke within a short time. On the bigger picture, the creation of new content (call it art, if you will) would virtually stop. Whether the current form of copyright is the right way for the future, is heavily discussed. Suggested reading.
But, there is one reason for the abolishment of copyright, and it has only to words.

If she didn’t make any money from her “music” I bet she’d stop any moment.

On a more serious note, software patents is a form of applied copyright that is absolutely detestable. We are not amused by those Eolas guys. Not at all.
