Over at the Red forum, I found a good table on the weight of all the parts for the Red camera. Good to calculate heads (and how much work-out you should do while waiting for your camera to surface)

And the the RED EVF weighs 2.4 pounds, or 1090 gram.
Its like you are carrying a baby:) Anyway it seems like one because its fragile.
Actually, after having tried one on Friday, I must say that it is indeed very sturdy. Complete metal housing, and it feels very solid; I am tempted to say: heavy. A fully build Red One weighs about as much as a Arri SR with a full magazine. So, this is no fragile plastic handycam.
